KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28): Malaysia’s e-government services provider My E.G.Services Bhd (MyEG) recorded a 21% growth in earnings in the first quarter ended Sept 30, 2012 (1Q13) to RM6.5 million.

MYEG also reported an increase of 1Q13 revenue by 13.2% to RM16.1 million. This is due to increased adoption of online renewals of auto insurance and road tax on MyEG’s online portal.

The latest addition to the e-government service suite was the voluntary vehicle ownership transfer service, which was launched in August this year.

“Thus far, we have seen positive response to our recently-launched online vehicle ownership transfer service in the past two months, and expect this to gain traction,” Datuk Dr Norraesah Binti Haji Mohamad, executive chairman of MyEG, said.

Norraesah also said that MyEG is positive of its outlook in FY13.

“We are continuing to collaborate closely with various government agencies to develop new applications and provide online options for over-the-counter services,” she said.
