KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1):A joint raiding operation was conducted today on gold trader Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd and its affiliates by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, and Companies Commission of Malaysia for suspected offences under the laws administered by the respective enforcement agencies.
Singapore's Commercial Affairs Department has also conducted a similar operation against Genneva Pte Ltd in Singapore, said the authorities in a joint statement on Monday.
"The public is advised to be cautious in investing their money to avoid becoming victims of activities that are illegal and in breach of the law," the statement read.
